Getting Started

What is Digital Ad Monitor?

Digital Ad Monitor is a subscription service that connects to your Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising accounts and automatically sends you daily and weekly performance reports. It also monitors your key metrics in real time and fires alerts when something you care about changes — so you always know what's happening with your ads without logging into Meta every day.

What do I need to get started?

You need an active Meta advertising account. Sign up for a free trial, connect your Meta account during onboarding, and your first report will arrive the next morning. No technical setup required.

How long is the free trial? Do I need a credit card?

You get a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start. At the end of your trial you can subscribe to continue — or your account will pause with your data and settings preserved.

Does Digital Ad Monitor work for agencies managing multiple clients?

Yes. You can connect multiple Meta ad accounts and each will appear in your reports. Dashboard views and reports can be filtered by account.

Connecting Meta

What permissions does Digital Ad Monitor need from Meta?

We request read-only access to your ad account data — specifically the ads_read and ads_management permissions. We never make changes to your campaigns or budgets. Your Meta access token is encrypted at rest.

My Meta connection stopped working. What do I do?

Meta access tokens expire after approximately 60 days. Digital Ad Monitor automatically refreshes your token before it expires. If automatic refresh fails, you'll receive an email notification and can reconnect your account in one click from the Settings page.

Can I connect more than one Meta Business Manager or ad account?

Yes. You can connect multiple ad accounts. Each connected account will appear separately in your reports and dashboard.

Reports & Alerts

When are daily reports sent?

Daily reports are sent each morning at approximately 8:00 AM Eastern Time, covering the previous day's performance. You can receive them by email, Slack, or both.

When are weekly reports sent?

Weekly reports are sent every Monday morning at approximately 8:00 AM Eastern Time, covering the prior 7-day period. The weekly report includes a plain-English performance summary alongside the raw metrics.

What metrics are included in reports?

Reports include: Spend, Impressions, Clicks, CTR (click-through rate), CPC (cost per click), Conversions, CVR (conversion rate), CPA (cost per acquisition), ROAS (return on ad spend), and Ad Revenue. You can customize which metrics appear in your reports from Settings.

How do metric alerts work?

You create alerts by choosing a metric, a condition (above or below), and a threshold value. Digital Ad Monitor checks your metrics each day and sends you a notification if an alert is triggered. For example: “Alert me when CPA exceeds $50” or “Alert me when ROAS drops below 2.”

How do I set up Slack notifications?

In Settings, go to Notifications and add a Slack Incoming Webhook URL. You can add multiple channels — for example, one for daily reports and one for alerts. Webhook URLs are encrypted at rest.

Billing

How much does it cost?

Digital Ad Monitor is $19.99 per month after your 7-day free trial.

How does billing work?

Billing is monthly and handled securely by Stripe. Your card is charged on the same date each month. You can update your payment method or view invoices from the Billing section of your account.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep full access until then. We don't charge cancellation fees.

Do you offer refunds?

We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at digitaladmonitor@gmail.com within 30 days and we'll look into it.

Data & Security

What data do you store from Meta?

We retrieve your ad performance metrics on demand each day to generate your reports. We do not store raw Meta data permanently. Report snapshots (the data included in your daily and weekly reports) are retained for up to 90 days to power the report pages linked in your notifications. We store your Meta access token in encrypted form.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS). Sensitive data — including Meta access tokens and Slack webhook URLs — is encrypted at rest. Our infrastructure runs on Railway with access controls limiting who can reach production systems.

How do I delete my account and data?

You can request account deletion by contacting us at digitaladmonitor@gmail.com. We will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records). See our Privacy Policy for full details.
